Mardi Gras

Hey bloggers, is today Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday, that New Orleans celebrate and party once a year day. I am wondering because all of the advertisements around me on this day I think says so. And there seems to be Mardi Gras parties listed everywhere in the newspapers. And what is the meaning of this day or holiday anyway. As that word Mardi Gras sounds as if it could be a latin or french word maybe. And is this day a masquerade for someone or something of some sort. Does Wikipedia, that internet bible dictionary have an entry for this word and the meaning of all things about and behind it. And this day of Mardi Gras seems to be the colors yellow, purple and green I think. And whatever this phrase may mean, have a great celebrate and party Mardi Gras day.

Powerhouse Books

And it is Sunday on this day, that day of rest. Or is that Saturday, the Sabbath. And yet I find myself blaghing away. And I remember blah blogging about PowerHouse Books sometime a while ago on this blog. And it was for that book that was all the rage titled "Tompkins Square", a black and white photography book by Q. Sakamaki and essay by Bill Weinberg that appeared in memoriam of the 20th Anniversary of the Tompkins Square Park Riots in that Park, that park everywhere in that former New York City neighborhood of the Lower East Side, that is now called the East Village for real estate marketing purposes maybe. And that book rocked. And this time Powerhouse Books, or is it Powerhouse Arena is having an art exhibit called "2,191 Days and Counting" curated by Maya Joseph-Goteiner and Chere Krakovsky to benefit Iraq Veterans Against the War. And there are a hundred artists in that show. I know because the flyer that they have on their website says so. And there will be art and performances as part of the community's response to the continuing Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. And videos will be a part of this exhibition also. And some of those artists and performers include Danya Abt, Grace Ann Alfiero, Waleed Ashad, Carol Ashley, Perry Bard, Nina Berman, Wafaa Bilal, Jean Christian Bourcart, Sherrard Bostwick, Orna Bradshaw, Pam Butler, Doris Caçoilo, Drew Cameron, Damian Catera, Sarawut Chutiwongpeti, Susanna Coffey, Michael Courvoisier, Carla Cubit, Larry Cyr, Peter Delman, Alyssa Dreyfus, Elise Engler, Danielle Fotopoulos, Marilyn Freeman, Joy Garnett, Ariel Goldberg, Sam Gould, Aaron Glantz, Lori Grinker, Fariba Hajamadi, Tara Hughes-Hall, Rene Farkass, Basem Hassan, Diane Hodack, Aaron Hughes, Lanna Joffrey, Andrew Ellis Johnson, David Joseph-Goteiner, Wonder Koch, Joyce Kozloff, Dorothy Krakovsky, Jason Laning, Tyler Lee Zabe, Ju-Pong Lin, Ardele Lister, Melissa Macalpin, Kyla Mathis-Angress, Suzanne McClelland, Steve McCurry, Dato Mio, James Nachtwey, Nobuho Nagasawa, Aron Namenwirth, Farah Nosh, David Opdyke, Alexander Optivion, Zach Osif, Franc Palaia, Paul Park, Caroline Parker, John Paul, Kenneth Pietrobono, Grace Graupe-Pillard, Lucian Read, Paul Root, Martha Rosler, Erika Rothenberg, Safa Samiezade-Yazd, Susan Silas, Elin O’Hara Slavick, Susanne Slavick, Qais Al-Sindy, Joan Snyder, Molly Snyder-Fink Chrysanne Stathacos, Jon Turner, Betsy Van Die, Christopher Vongsawat, Nathaniel Ward, AJ Wilhelm, Sarah Nelson Wright, Agnes Wszolkowski, Suyeon Yun, Tyler Zabel, The Artists Against The War, The Combat Paper Project and more. And this event rocks. And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State? Have a great art day.

Another Interesting Email

Hey bloggers, and this seems like one of those days. Whatever that day could be. And the following is another one of those emails that was sent to me that was sent from someone else that was sent from someone else and so on and so on and so on. And this email seems sort of funny, or at least it was meant to be jokes I guess.

One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a
Christmas gift. The next year, he didn't buy her a gift at all. When she
asked him why, he replied, "Well, you still haven't used the gift I
bought you last year!" And that's when the fight started.....

My wife walked into the den & asked "What's on the TV?"I
replied "Dust".
And that's when the fight started.....

A woman is standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror. She is not happy with
what she sees and says to her husband, 'I feel horrible; I look old, fat and
ugly. I really need you to pay me acompliment.'The husband replies,
'Well.... your eyesight's damn near perfect!' And that's when
the fight started.....

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She
said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 200in about 3
seconds.'I bought her a scale. And that's when the fight started.....

I asked my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?'It
warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation.'Somewhere I
haven't been in a long time!' she said.So I suggested, 'How about
the kitchen?' And that's when the fight started....

My wife and I are watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed.
I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have sex?''No,' she
answered.I then said, 'Is that your final answer?'She didn't even
look at me this time, simply saying 'Yes.'So I said, 'Then I'd
like to phone a friend.' And that's when the fight started....

I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for $14.95. Instead,
she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer would make her
look better at night than the cold cream. And that's when the fight
started.....

I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order
first.'I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please.'He said,
'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?''Nah, she can order for
herself.' And that's when the fight started.....

Have a great jokey day.

Friday the 13th

Hey bloggers, and on this day is Friday the thirteenth again. A day in what some could see as bad luck, depending on how you look at it, maybe. And I have written about this day in times past on this blog as follows:

And it just occurred to me from looking at the date on this computer, that tomorrow, (Actually today, now...), is Friday the 13th according to that Gregorian Calendar. And how many times throughout the year does that supposedly bad luck number occur throughout the calendar year. And I realize that from blah blogging on this blog for over a year now that some dates, days, holidays and times just keep repeating themselves throughout the year, almost as if it becomes the same day, different year. And so the following is a post that I posted on this blog sometime ago when it was Friday the thirteenth, Good luck:
Again I seem to be finding myself running out to things to blah blog about. And I find myself writing about events and a lot of holidays just to come up with ideas of something to write about for this blog. And how do the other bloggers in the blogosphere do it, especially the bloggers with a thousand blogs. Again I can barely maintain one blog, yet alone four or five blogs as I see a lot of others bloggers maintain. And so today the thought of the day is another holiday is here, or a significant date on the calendar has arrived. The day after tomorrow (not the movie), is Friday the 13th. Are you superstitious? Can you see things from beyond and out of the ordinary? If you are superstitious you might want to consider not getting out of bed or leaving home, for isn't the number 13 suppose to be considered bad luck? According to the Secret Language of Birthdays, the most misunderstood card in the Tarot is the 13th card of the Major Arcana, Death, which rarely is to be taken literally but signifies a letting go of the past in order to grow beyond limitations, metamorphically. Those born on the 13th of the month are ruled by the number 4 (1+3=4), and by the planet Uranus which is both erratic and explosive. The number 4 typically represents rebellion, idiosyncratic beliefs and a desire to change the rules. the number 13 is a powerful number which does carry the responsibility of using its power wisely or inviting self destruction. Well that is the number 13, but what about Friday the 13th, what does that mean? Or maybe you would want to leave home this day, but watch out for black cats, broken mirrors, ladders and cracks in the sidewalk. Happy Friday the 13th.

And that is an annual event, as I think I found myself blaghing about this event last year on this blog. And in case you may be wondering what SXSW means, I think it means South by Southwest. And that South by Southwest 2009 festival of music, film, conferences and everything else in between is near And from what I remember, this is one of those end all to be alls in the music scene, I think. 12.21.2012

12.21.2012. What do those numbers mean to you, anything? December 12, 2012, that could mean the London Olympics are coming. Well if you are a religious fanatic reader of prophet and psychic predictions like me, it could mean a whole lot. It could mean doomsday, Armageddon, the Apocalypse, judgement day, the end of the world, a new world order or some new age, spiritual transformation, evolution, higher universe. It could mean the beginning and the end of World War III according to Nostradamus. It could mean the meteors, comets, asteroids, aliens and spaceships are coming to planet earth. Could it mean the anti christ and the Pope will appear? Oh, the Pope is already here. It could mean that the sun will reverse its own magnetic pole. It could mean the solstice and moon cycles will end, or at least it could mean that is when the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. The Maya believed that their world would end on December 21, 2012 and that Orion and Pleiades told them so. All of these sciences, beliefs, theories, philosophies, astrology, years and calendars are too complex for me to understand, but at a glance I believe in them all, or what does this mean, will the world really end? Will some world changing event take place in 2012? The clock is ticking. What does the future hold? Wait and be watchful for the return of something. In 5yrs, 6 months, 8 days, 19 minutes and 32 seconds of 5 years and 193 days as of this writing, 2012 is here. 12.21.2012, what do those numbers mean to you?
Note: Lo, and behold. Here is one of many secrets that the yoga guy says in the text below him in the drawing above, he depicts the progression of humanity.. A-L=12, halfway through the alphabet, O-Z=12, halfway through the alphabet. ALOZ, ALLAH. 12.21.2012, 0102. OLOZ, AL-OZ, ALOZ, ALLAH. M and N the middle of the alphabet = the Millennium, the head of Christ, Grist, the Holy Grail, The Holy Ghost, a thousand years shall Satan be let loose? And there is much more to be written in the text below the yoga guy above (Yahweh,Jehovah,JHVH,YHVH,YHWH, YOGA), part of the trinity. And I have actually posted this on this blog before and for some reason I thought to repost it again. Have a great day.

Have a great illusionary day.

The 1st of the Month

Hey bloggers, and one this day is Sunday in that country of America at the moment. That day of rest, or is that Saturday the sabbath. And yet I find myself blah blogging away on this blog again. And on this day is also the first of the month again. I know because that Gregorian calendar and clock in the lower right hand corner of this computer says so, today is Sunday, February o1, 2009. And some days are behind us. And with those first of the months sometimes comes those first of the month how am I going to pay my monthly bills stories. And with that economy thing being in the news a lot lately, I imagine more and more of these month to month, paycheck to paycheck, how am I gonna pay my monthly bills stories taking place around that country of America. And it is a new moon, a new month, the beginning of a new moon and the beginning of a new month that waxes and wanes in its cycles of its month. And it is that order of the universe thing again, that yin yang thing. Every action has a reaction. And it is change. And the only thing constant is change. Have a great 1st of the month day.
